Albert (Al) Van Dyke

Albert (Al) Van Dyke, 82, on February 22, 2021. Al was born in 1938 in Wyckoff to Betty and Orie Van Dyke Sr. He resided in Mahwah for the last 55 years. He was from the first graduating class of Ramapo Regional High School in 1957. He married his high school sweetheart in 1960, Joyce Ann and is survived by her. Devoted father of three children, Linda Lee Van Dyke, Glenn Allen Van Dyke and Christopher Joe Van Dyke. Loving grandfather of six: Julieanne Lee and Kristopher Lee Kowalski, Kenneth and Nicolas Van Dyke, and Cory and Nicole Van Dyke. He was one of four children, a brother Orie and sister Joanne and predeceased by his sister Joyce. Until retirement Al had a long career in auto body collision repair. He could fix most anything, not just cars. He loved sports, especially baseball and the Yankees, but most of all, besides us, he loved animals. He leaves behind his loving dog Jack and two cats, Trouble and Double-Trouble.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland in his memory will be appreciated.
