Alberta C. Kulik

On January 7, 2025, Alberta C. Kulik, affectionally called “Bert”, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away at age 85, and was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Bruce G. Kulik (“Skip”). Bert was born August 11, 1939, in Jamaica, Queens, and grew up in Bellerose, NY. She met Skip while attending SUNY Farmingdale. Bert and Skip raised three wonderful children. They had an adventurous life together, traveling the world, and enjoyed camping, hiking, skiing, and frolicking in the ocean. Bert also traveled with close friends and each of her grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and friends at Lake Sebago, Camp of the Woods, in Bermuda.

Bert was a longtime member of Ramsey Presbyterian Church, Meals on Wheels, and Ramsey Garden Club. Much to some of ours surprise, many years ago, she also drove for Ramsey Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Bert had a notorious sweet tooth, loved a good planters punch, playing cards and other games, and looking out the kitchen window overlooking the pond. She was constantly on the move, puttering about, and was unwittingly funny. Ask any of her grandchildren and they will certainly tell you that they have a funny voice mail saved on their phone. She loved her family and graciously opened her home to countless friends and family members. In her later years, she became expert at napping in any chair in any location.

Bert is predeceased by her mother and father, Jeannette and Albert Cooper; her beloved husband, Skip; her grandson, Mark Gottmann Kulik; her nephew, Dominic C. Kulik; and her sister, Janice Shaw. She is survived by her loving children: Todd Kulik (Caroline), Mark Kulik (Ellen); and Karin Murphy (T.J.); her grandchildren: Tricia, Sheila, Katharina, Shawn, Jimmy, Lauren, and Kate; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 6 – 8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10 AM at The First Presbyterian Church, 15 Shuart Lane, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Bert will be buried next to Skip in Union Cemetery, Ramsey, N.J.
