Anne Goldstein

Anne Goldstein, 95, on October 28, 2024 of Ocala, Florida most recently resided with her daughter Ellen in Ramsey, NJ.

Beloved mother of Ellen Bernardino of Ramsey, NJ and Harold (Harry) Goldstein and wife Susan of Suffern, NY.

Grandmother of Alex. Dear sister of the late Betty, Maria and Berta whom all resided in Germany. Anne was the daughter of the late Mary.

 She met her husband Arthur in Germany when he was stationed there with the US Army. Anne moved to the United States in 1956 to rejoin with Arthur and they had wed shortly thereafter.  They originally resided in the Bronx, NY relocated to Brooklyn and finally purchased their first home in Queens. In 1964 they moved to a home they had built in the NY suburbs of Rockland County. Lastly, they made a final move to Ocala, FL for retirement.  They had a passion for travel and enjoyed seeing a multitude of different destinations.  After her husband passed away, Anne evolved into a very strong independent woman. 

Anne worked for Brooks Brothers as a seamstress when she first came to the United States. She knew very little English but was very brave and pioneered uncharted territory via taking on the job and maneuvering her way through the city.

She loved and enjoyed Ellen's two pugs Moeshi and Brighton and all her daughter's pets that came before them. Anne was raised on a farm and enjoyed being around animals. She had a wonderful appetite and was open to trying new cuisines. She loved to cook and was an avid gardener as well. Anyone who met Anne felt the warmth that radiated from within. She was a loyal devoted friend, a loving Mother and will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2-4 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Maimonides Cemetery, 90 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
