Anne F. (Tyrrell) McGowan

Anne F. McGowan (nee Tyrrell), 80, on June 12, 2024 of Mahwah, NJ formerly of Ramsey, NJ and the Bronx, NY. Beloved wife of James P. McGowan. Loving mother of John and wife Carole, Michael and wife Kim and Christine Forbes and husband Kevin. Cherished grandmother of Matthew and fiancé Maegan, Rachel and husband Justin, Hannah, Grace, Caroline, James, Keeley and husband Preston, and Krista. Dear sister of John Tyrrell and late wife Philomena, Mary Catherine McEvoy and husband Robert and the late Thomas Tyrrell and wife Anna, Margaret Cassin and husband Thomas. Adored sister-in-law and aunt to many. Anne embraced her faith through her volunteer work as a eucharistic minister, CCD teacher and member of the prayer shawl committee at St. Paul R.C. Church. She was also a longtime volunteer for Valley Hospital Palliative Care. Anne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Valley Hospice for the wonderful care given to Anne.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 PM - 6 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
