Anthony Laganella Obituary

Anthony Laganella was born to the late John and Assunta Laganella, a barber and a homemaker, in Paterson, NJ on June 13, 1935. Anthony graduated from Central High School in Paterson, New Jersey in 1954. He was drafted into the Military serving 2 years in the 39th’s Firing Battery in Minz, Germany. When he returned, he made a life working in heavy construction with his brothers.

Anthony was blessed with a large and loving family. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Wicky on September 13, 1959 in Paterson, New Jersey. Anthony helped raise his four children with lots of love and affection. When it came to guidance, there was no one better to talk you through the task, big or small. There was never an event Anthony missed that his children or grandchildren were involved in. His greatest achievement in life was keeping his family around him. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Anthony is survived by his wife Phyllis; his son Anthony Laganella (Lisa); his daughters Lynne Holowinski (Jeffrey), Tina Salute (Todd) and Melissa Santini (Anthony); his grandchildren Jami Gangi (Andrew), Jackie Ladolcetta (John), Nikki Burdi (Nicholas), Gina Laganella, John and Joseph Salute; his great-grandchildren Cali and D.J. Gangi; and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Rose King; his brothers Nicholas, Frank and John Laganella; and his parents.
