Anthony J. Sinacore (Tony), 79, of Barnegat, NJ died on December 21, 2020 after a long illness. He was born on November 24, 1941 to Joe and Margaret in Brooklyn, NY in a loving Italian family who emigrated from Sicily. He was a beloved husband to Mary, loving father to Joe and wife Laura, Dan and wife Paolina, Margaret and husband Charlie. He was the adored Grandpa of Christina, Ava, Marco, Sofia, Abigail, and Michael and beloved brother of Geraldine. He cherished his family and friends whom he loved spending time with. He was larger than life and had a memorable impact on all who knew him. Sharing a great meal together was among his favorite things. He loved the water, and we spent many summer days on his boat. He also enjoyed hunting, a tradition we shared together with his late father. Tony was a devout Catholic who was active in serving his church and community. Prior to his illness he volunteered at the local hospital. He was very active with the Paterson chapter of Habitat for Humanity building many homes during his role as chapter President in the mid 90’s. In 2012 he retired from SDM Metro a company he started with his partners in the late 70’s. During his career he represented many scientific companies that provided electronic testing and instrumentation solutions. At one point he partnered with the industry pioneers who developed the “Code 39” tracking bar code solutions that revolutionized logistics and are still in use today. In his youth he worked at his uncle’s bakery making classic Italian bread in a coal fired brick oven.
