Arthur J. Menzel, Sr. How you doing buddy? It’s all a numbers game… that was dad’s catch phrases. The ocean was his passion, sales were his trade, and his family was his life. Where to even begin…our father was like no one else, funny, smart, complicated, a good listener, GREAT talker, with a strong personality and huge heart. He had a full life, from serving in the navy, marrying the woman of his dreams, running his own business, and raising four children, all equally as unique as he was. He was best remembered for their infamous Christmas Eve parties and quick getaway’s to AC with our mom. They loved to keep moving. His motto was The Art of a Deal. Sales and wheeling and dealing were what he knew best which led the way to his successful career in sales. Dad loved to socialize, go out to lunch, give advice and tell stories. So many people have reached out to tell us what a colorful personality dad had, how they enjoyed their talks with him and how he loved to make them laugh. He had such a strong presence and impact on their life. To our family he was more than a father and grandfather, you were a mentor, confidant, audience, champion for our causes and best friend. You were, and will, always be unforgettable.
Arthur was survived by his four children Lisa, Art, Kim and Keith and their spouses George, Linda, Peter and Heather. His beloved grandchildren, Kristi, Dahne, Alexis, AJ, Robert, Kaley, Taylor, Cole and Mckinley.
Rest in peace dad. Thank you for all you gave us. We love you.
