Barbara E. (Smith) Stuis

Barbara E. Stuis (nee Smith), 87, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. Barbara was born and raised in the Riverdale section of the Bronx (and darn proud of it!). She met her husband, Bill, on the subway on the way to work and he was instantly smitten. Their wedding followed in April of 1956. Barbara and Bill became proud members of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club in the summer of 1963. They both enjoyed the friendships and activities this afforded them. Barbara was most happy creating and maintaining a home for her husband and two children. When she wasn't caring for her family, she enjoyed spending time with her friends playing bridge, golf and paddle tennis. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her son Peter. She is survived by her daughter Amy, grandchildren Tom and Sean and too many nieces and nephews to name.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice FuneraI Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430. Donations may be made to Guardian Angel RC Church, 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ 07401.
