Brian G. Surdoval

Brian G. Surdoval, 48, on December 31, 2021. Brian was born September 1, 1973 to Donald and Patricia Surdoval. He grew up in Saddle River, NJ and graduated from Ramsey High School in 1992. He went on to study business at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business where he graduated in 1996.

He met his wife of 17 years while living in Hoboken, NJ. They were married in June 2004 and later moved to Ramsey where they started their family. Brian was a dedicated husband and beloved father of Kyle (14) and Justin (7). He was always the first to volunteer for the boy’s camping trips, never missed a chance to gather friends and family to celebrate their birthdays and would truly revel in the wonder of their growth and potential.

Brian joined Merrill Lynch in 1997 as a Financial Advisor. During his tenure at Merrill he helped individuals, CEOs, not-for-profit hospitals and various families invest for nearly a quarter century. His business grew and benefited from the same energy, engagement and commitment he brought to everything he did in life. In 2021 he moved his practice to Morgan Stanley where he was a Senior Vice President. 

Brian is survived by his incredible energy and spirit for life. He was an avid golfer, traveled frequently and never hesitated to help those in need. He touched so many lives and he will be missed deeply by all, especially by his wife Jessica, sons Kyle and Justin, his sister Lisa of Sparta, his sister Cathy of Ramsey, his brother Jack and wife Phyllis of Sparta, and his brother Don and wife Denise of Sparta. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 12:30 PM at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey.
