Chris Heaps

Christopher James Heaps, 48, of Mahwah, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1977, and lived in Mahwah, NJ.

Christopher was a proud member of IATSE Local 52, where he worked as a talented set designer on numerous television and film productions. Through his work, he helped bring stories to life, earning the respect and friendship of many colleagues throughout the industry. His artistic eye, attention to detail, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on every project he was part of.

Outside of work, Chris enjoyed motorcycles, trucks, and spending time at the campsite, where he loved relaxing and being surrounded by friends and family. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and the many friendships he built throughout his life.

Chris is deeply loved and remembered by his parents, Patricia and Steve Heaps, and his beloved brothers, Steven and Tommy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 PM at the funeral home.
