Denise (Burks) Pinbell passed away, at the age of 49, on July 2, 2023, after a courageous fight. She lived life to its fullest each and every day and lit up every room she entered. Her smile was contagious, her love pure and unselfish and her loyalty to family and friends unwavering. She will be forever missed.
Born to Gregory and Frances Burks, Denise is a graduate of Midland Park High School and St. Thomas Aquinas College. She spent her career as a Marketing Events Manager, planning and coordinating events, fundraisers and galas for corporations including Footstar, MicroEdge, Tata Consultancy Services, and most recently MasterCard. Her career afforded her experiences she wouldn’t have had otherwise- meetings with celebrities, trips to exotic destinations, and memories and experiences most could only imagine. She was passionate about her work and even after she became sick, it only motivated her more.
Denise met her husband Michael through a mutual friend and married in 2000. A beautiful love story, with two beautiful boys, Jake and Tyler. Denise loved her husband and boys more than anything in this world and every day she fought, she fought for them. She wanted nothing more than to see her children grow up, graduate, and see the men they were destined to become. She wasn’t ready to leave this world because she wasn’t ready to leave her children. They were her universe and Michael was her rock. Their bond and love for each other was steadfast. Through sickness and in health, they were always there for each other, with a smile, a kiss on the head, and always a joke.
Denise loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, running, painting, refinishing old furniture, enjoying a good book or strong cocktail, seeing a concert, and above all else, laughter and love. She was quick with a joke, could make anyone laugh, made friends wherever she went, and was the best daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend anyone could ask for. She was remarkable and our lives have all been changed for the better by knowing and loving her.
She is survived by her parents Greg and Fran Burks, her husband Michael Pinbell, children Jake and Tyler Pinbell, sister Adrienne Taylor (Kenneth), brother Steven Burks, nephew Nicolas Taylor, niece Cecilia Taylor, as well as loving Aunts, Uncle, and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents Matthew and Josephine Ferraro and Harold and Beulah Burks.
