Edward M. Sullivan, 78, on November 30, 2025 of Montvale, NJ formerly of Oradell for 40 years. Ed was born and raised in Sunnyside, Queens, NY. Ed’s life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and community service.
Ed's educational journey began at Brooklyn Tech High School, where he first demonstrated his exceptional abilities and leadership qualities. He continued his academic pursuits at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and further honed his business acumen at Rutgers University earning his Masters degree. His education laid the foundation for what would become a remarkable career and a life dedicated to entrepreneurship and community engagement.
In the town of Ridgewood, Ed was not only known as a great landlord but also revered as a pillar of the community. His tenure as the President of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce was marked by his unwavering commitment to the town's prosperity and his genuine care for its residents.
Ed's role as the ultimate entrepreneur was complemented by his devotion to his family. He always put them first, a loving husband to his wife Ann, a guiding father to his son Ed and his wife Danielle, and a doting grandfather to Avery Rose and Alexa Grace who were the apples of his eye. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his legacy of kindness and generosity will live on through them.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 PM - 8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey, NJ. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
