Frances (Stengel) Healy

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY  Frances L Healy (nee Stengel) 98, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023. Frances was born and raised in Newark, NJ where she met her husband Joseph with whom she was married for 57 years. They were longtime residents of Midland Park, NJ where they raised their family.

Frances was predeceased by her husband Joseph and sisters; Mildred, Jackie, and Lillian. She is survived by her devoted children Joseph Jr. and his wife Linda, Michael and his wife Karen, and Kathleen Torrisi and her husband Salvatore. Frances was blessed with six grandchildren and seven great-grandch ildren, all of whom loved her dearly.

Fran enjoyed the blessings of watching her family thrive and grow close together. As an active member of the Midland Park and Wappingers Falls Senior Citizens Centers, Fran never missed her bingo days and the monthly birthday celebrations. Frances was employed by the United States Postal Service and strived to improve and increase the role of women in management and supervision. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her.

Visitation hours will be Thursday 10:00-11:30am with a service at 11:00am at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. lnterment will follow at nearby Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
