Frank Vincent Iudica, 94, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025. He grew up in Hawthorne, NJ and was a Ramsey resident for 50+ years.
Frank was the dedicated husband of 60 years to Lucia and a loving father to Carla Iudica-Souza and Paula Iudica-Costa, and their spouses Mauricio Souza and Alvaro Costa. He was the beloved Papa to his adoring grandchildren, Isabelle, Lucas, Alec, and Julia. Frank was a dear brother to Bernadine Wos, and uncle and cousin to many.
A proud Korean War veteran, Frank served as a journalist in the US Navy aboard the USS Boxer. He then attended Farleigh Dickinson University on the GI Bill, which led to a fulfilling 30-year career as a teacher in the Waldwick school district.
Frank was a great storyteller and enjoyed sharing his passions about history, current events, and travel, peppered with his wry sense of humor. In his later years, Papa’s greatest joy was loudly cheering on his four grandchildren from the soccer sidelines. He leaves many beautiful memories and much love.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey, NJ. Cremation will be private.
