Halina Kurdyla (nee Bublewicz) 74, of Ramsey, NJ passed away at home on Sunday, September 4, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Poland and moved to the U.S. in 1969 after marrying her husband, Michael. They were married for 53 years and raised three children in Wallington, Elmwood Park and Paramus before moving to Ramsey in 1997.
Halina was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was kind and friendly to all and would be described by many as a classy lady. She worked for 10 years at a family-owned travel agency and then worked as retail sales associate at Burlington Coat Factory and Macy’s. Halina enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking and reading books in her free time.
She is predeceased by her mother and father, Adolf and Henryka Bublewicz, her daughter Agnes Lauria, and her sister Bozena Branecka. She is survived by her husband Michael, her son Mark, her daughter Margaret Gorski and husband Matthew, and her grandchildren Alex, Amanda, Andrew and Katie.
Friends and family may pay respects at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Mahwah, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
