Helen J. Ferraro

FERRARO - Helen J., 88, on June 23, 2024, of Ramsey, NJ, formerly of Paramus, NJ and Indiantown FL. Beloved wife of the late Anthony R. Ferraro (2006), whom she missed every day. She passed peacefully at home with all her children and grandchildren by her side as per her wishes. Loving mother to Marie Battaglia and her husband Arthur, John Ferraro, Lisa Barchetto and Patricia Dolcemascolo and her husband Joseph. Adored grandmother of Nicholas Battaglia and his wife Christine, Allyssa Battaglia, Anthony Ferraro, John Ferraro, Agostino Ferraro and Lorenzo Ferraro, Victoria Barchetto and her fiancé Mark Mikhail, Alana Dolcemascolo, Ava Dolcemascolo and boyfriend Michael Pini. Cherished Great Grandmother to Ronan and Merrick Battaglia. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Honey. Born in the Bronx, NY to Mary and Pasquale Pappalardi, she was one of nine siblings; survived by sisters Mary Pappalardi and Theresa Pappalardi.

Helen worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed many crafts including crocheting hundreds of blankets and baby outfits for all to enjoy. Upon moving to Ramsey she joined the Crafty Sisters, with their works being donated to Veteran’s Homes. She was also involved with the Italian American club in Paramus. Always a wonderful homemaker, everyone enjoyed her holiday cookies, Italian cooking as well as her legendary summer barbeques by the pool in Paramus. Her “Honeyballs” at Christmastime were a cherished holiday tradition. Always ready to celebrate birthdays and other important events, she will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

A Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 27th at 1:30 PM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Ramsey, NJ. Cremation will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ. Interment at Maryrest Cemetery and Mausoleum on Darlington Ave in Mahwah, NJ.
