James Maloney

James Maloney, 82, on January 31, 2023 of Mahwah, NJ. James was born in Nyack, NY before moving to Mahwah, NJ.  Jim is survived by his  Ex-Wife Doerte Maloney the Mother of his children: their Daughter Patricia Oslacky & Her Spouse Michael Oslacky of Mahwah, NJ and their two sons: Joshua & Michael with his fiance Cassie Varvaro. And Jim & Doerte's son Kevin Maloney of Mahwah, NJ. Dear brother of Mary Jane & Bill Higgins from Rockland County, NY and Billy & Beth O'Neil of South Carolina/Rockland County NY and their Son Will O'Neil of Pennsylvania with his children Sadie & Brayden. Jim's girlfriend  Eleanor Davidson. James was 50+ year Electrolux top all-time salesman in the history of the company. Jim was an Army Veteran who served in Berlin. Jim was an Athlete who loved all sports especial Baseball, Basketball, Football, & Tennis. He really loved team sports but loved to lead. He always had the energetic & magnetic personality with a big beautiful smile to be a part of the team but excelled at standing out. Which made him shine bright like a Star. He was larger than life and still is. He always played to win and to be the best he could be. He always taught us if your at the bottom shoot for the top. And if your at the top don't forget where you came from and who were the people besides you along the journey. Be the 'Best' at whatever you are. Many people knew him as Jim Maloney, the Son, the Athlete, the Brother, the Husband, the Father or just as "He's my Vacuum Man." He always said the difference between me and many other people is that they are 'Secret Agents' many don't know who they are or what they do, or stand for...but as for me they usually either know my name or at least who I am 'The Vacuum Man'! He said he would be the BEST SALESMAN IN THE WORLD  & He did just that by being the TOP ELECTROLUX VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN IN THE WORLD FOR ELECTROLUX [36,000 customers in a 10 mile radius. Simply Amazing!!! He LOVES GOD & LOVES PEOPLE. [Always in a very Humble, Simple, and Beautiful Way.]

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 PM - 7 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey, NJ. Interment will follow at Frederick W. Loescher Veteran Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
