With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved James A. Pagliaro Jr. He died after a long battle with cancer at his cherished Ramsey home on March 19, 2024. He was 74 years old.
Son of the late James and Marie Pagliaro (née Yocca), he is survived by his loving wife Loretta, his daughter Suzanne and son-in-law Matt, his daughter Kate and son-in-law Travis, and his two beautiful grandchildren Wyatt and Harper, who would bring out the child in him which he embraced and cherished.
James was born on August 4, 1949, in Pittsburgh Pa. As a child he loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing or riding motorbikes. After graduating from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, he had an exciting career in sales and business development in the media sector. It was both challenging and rewarding. His employment with Panasonic, Sony, Technicolor and others, allowed him to travel and experience unique cultures early on. Upon his arrival home he had a plethora of such interesting stories to share.
In his late 20’s, James moved to N.J. and in 1978, he met and later married the love of his life, Loretta. They raised two beautiful daughters, Suzanne and Kate. Their dad was always the center of their world. He was such a devoted and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. Family was everything and brought so much joy to him.
He had a passion for golf even from an early age. He truly loved the sport and excelled with each passing year. Playing Pebble Beach as a surprise trip in 2019 was a dream come true. His other passion was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers even though frustrating at times. He always remained a true fan.
Within his immediate and extended family, he was consistently interested in what was going on in everyone’s lives. He listened attentively and was kind and sweet to everyone. James was truly one of a kind. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
