James A. Tenney

James A. Tenney, 70, of Ramsey, NJ passed away on March 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on February 5, 1953 in Ridgewood, NJ to his late parents, James and Elinor Tenney. Jim moved to Ramsey in 1985 with his caring wife Cindy and their son Ryan.

Jim was predeceased by both of his parents and his brother-in-law George Shepperd.  Jim is survived by his wife Cindy, son Ryan and his wife, Leslee; sisters Carol Shepperd; Sandra Rose (Paul); and Laurie Spittler (Kenny).  Jim will be missed by his many nieces and nephews but especially by his two beloved granddaughters Madison and Hailey Tenney. 

Jim attended Ridgewood High School and graduated in 1971.  He married Cindy in 1974.  He enjoyed vacationing to the Florida Keys and Long Beach Island.  An avid animal lover Jim was most content sitting at home with his dogs and cats relaxing.

Jim spent most of his career working in sales for Prudential and the New England Financial.  Jim loved interacting with his clients and his sales team.

Jim was one of a kind.  He always had a smile on his face and a crazy story to tell that would have you rolling on the floor laughing.  He will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.
