Janet Batzle

 Aurora, N.C. – Janet Batzle, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 12 noon at Mary’s Chapel Christian Church, 3750 Mary’s Chapel Church Rd., Aurora, NC 27806.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9am-12:30pm at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ.  A graveside service will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ at 1pm.

Janet Batzle was a good person known for her kindness, generosity and strength of a lion.  Janet was a free spirit with a childlike wonder and was a bit of a gypsy.  She loved an adventure with friends and family. She was an extremely creative person who was inspired deeply by the beach and the stars. Janet moved from New Jersey to Aurora to be with family in 2015.  She loved her town and her God ferociously.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurthor and Phyllis Clarke; and a sister, Ellen.

Janet is survived by her children, William Batzle (Andrea) of Randolph, NJ, Edward Batzle, Christina Stronjey (Charles), Ginger Batzle, and Kathryn Batzle (Chris Arnhols), all of Aurora; grandchildren, Ace and Allysin Arnhols and Logan Batzle; brother, Aurthor Clarke of NJ; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
