Jennifer (Pecoraro) Paradiso

Jennifer ‘Jenn’ Paradiso (Pecoraro) passed away on December 12th, 2024 at the age of 44 surrounded by family. 

Jenn was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend and teacher who always saw the best in people. Thoughtful, kind, and patient, she dedicated her life in service of others, most especially her family.  Growing up in Hasbrouck Heights/Emerson New Jersey, and later raising a family in Ramsey, she made many lifelong friendships. 

Jennifer found her calling in teaching, where her love of learning and kindness touched the lives of countless students, families and colleagues. She was so thankful for being part of the Pompton Lakes and most recently the Oakland school systems. 

Jenn was caring, witty and fun to be with. Her radiant smile and laughter was contagious and always made people feel welcomed. 

Famous amongst her family and friends for her heartfelt words of wisdom, celebratory themes and gift ideas and her ability to plan outstanding vacations and outings. 

Jennifer never lost her faith in God, even in the most testing situations. Where most would have faltered or given up, she courageously continued her fight never once missing a beat.  Jenn was a warrior in every sense of the word. Most know she battled cancer in 2015 and although she was deemed cured, unfortunately in early 2023 received the heartbreaking news that it returned.  

Once again Jenn got her mind, body and spirit ready for battle.  Despite countless setbacks and complications, she continued to fight, always putting her children, husband and family first.  This terrible disease took so much from her but it never once took away from her being an amazing wife, mother and role model. 

Jennifer will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Anthony Paradiso, their three children, Anthony, Dante and Sofia, her father and mother, Joseph and Kathleen Pecoraro, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Antonio and Maria Paradiso. 

Jennifer was loved by her sisters, brother, sisters and brothers-in-laws Danielle Pecoraro, Kimberly Jones (Pecoraro), Matthew Jones, Matthew Pecoraro, Aaron Stupp, Frank Paradiso, Dina Paradiso, Maurice Paradiso, Lisa Paradiso and her nieces and nephews, Alexa Paradiso, Nicholas Paradiso, Matthew Paradiso, Gabrielle Paradiso, Sarina Paradiso, Jack Jones, Stella Jones and Harper Jones as well as her extended family of close friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17th from 2 - 4 PM & 6 - 9 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18th at 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
