Joan Mary Pryor

In Loving Memory Joan Mary Pryor, 90, of Allendale, NJ died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 23rd at Dellridge Nursing home in Paramus, NJ. Born October 11, 1931 in New York, NY to Madeline and Adolph Matz, Joan was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joan resided in Allendale, NJ since 1957 where she raised her 5 children. She loved life, her faith and her church. She took great pride in her work with the Cornerstone team, First Holy Communion Team, and as a lector at Guardian Angel. Joan enjoyed her time in Bergan County but loved it best when she was in the green mountains of Vermont. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald Pryor and daughter Valerie Pryor. She is survived by her children Pamela Pyke (Hal), Susanne Furey (Paul), Virginia Kenny (Edward) and Gerald Pryor Jr. (fiancé, Valerie Conklin), 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life gathering on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10 AM at Guardian Angel R.C. Church, 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale NJ 07401. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name to The Audubon Society.
