Joseph Barsalona

Joseph F. Barsalona, 81, born in Paterson in 1943, formerly of Hackensack and River Vale, NJ passed away on Sunday October 13, 2024. Joseph loved life, his family, and friends. He was a strong, kind, caring man, always quick to lend a hand and help others. Joseph used his determination, courage, and resilience to overcome many health challenges over the past two decades. He leaves behind his beloved wife of over 50 years Gail (Jacobs) Barsalona, his loving children Michelle (Mark) Peconie, Nicole (Dan) Thomas, Christine (Rich) Gursky, & Denise Callahan, and his most cherished grandchildren, who were his pride and joy Kaitlyn, Anthony, Olivia, Tyler, Julia, Elijah, Travis & Sierra.

Joseph was a hardworking family man who was proud of his lifetime career as an electrician with IBEW 164. His most cherished memories were spending time with his family, summer vacations in the Outer Banks, enjoying time with his extended family including his cousins, friends and neighbors.  Joseph could light up a room with conversation, a song, or a joke. He was loved by all and will be missed beyond measure.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3PM-7PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue Ramsey, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at the Van Emburgh Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10 AM. Burial Service will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus NJ.
