Joseph Colavita

Joseph Paul Colavita, was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. Born on April 4, 1954 in Queens, New York, he grew up with his parents, grandparents and his sister Susan. He met his wife Amelia in college who he was married to for 43 years. Together they raised three incredible children, Jonathan, Justin, and Sabrina, whom he was extremely proud of and loved with all his heart. He also had two wonderful daughter in laws, Nicole & Malin. Joseph also had two sweet grandchildren, Ella and Massimo, whom he enjoyed spending time with and loved dearly. He was an amazing uncle to his niece, Sandy and nephew, Matthew, whom he loved as his own. Joseph was very involved in the church, where he taught CCD for over 35 years and wrote and played numerous songs for the music ministry. Joseph went home to God on December 26, 2021. We will leave you with his personal statement, “Be kind, and love one another.” He will forever live on in our hearts and through his music.
