Joseph William Fleming Jr.

Joseph William Fleming Jr, 91, of Ramsey, NJ, passed away on April 3, 2024, in Ramsey, NJ. Born on November 22, 1932, in Hackensack, NJ, he was the beloved son of the late Catherine Williams and Joseph Fleming Sr.

Joseph William Fleming Jr is survived by his loving children James Fleming, Margaret Ali (Joseph), Joseph Fleming III (Julie), and grandchildren Joseph, Katrina, Victoria, and Jaden. He is preceded in death by his sister Debbie Servilio and sister Adele Meseroll.

Joseph was a loving father, caring and supportive person who single-handedly raised three kids while growing a successful business.  We were provided opportunities to learn, travel, experience and succeed. We will miss his guidance and support.  We love you always.

He attended George Washington Primary School in Edgewater, Dwight Marrow High School in Englewood, and the University of Wisconsin for higher education.

Joseph proudly served in the Army.  He was a dedicated and accomplished Engineer who founded, owned, and operated Ramsey Controls Inc in Mahwah, NJ.  His entrepreneurial spirit led him to re-establish the Electric Launch Company.

His hobbies included Antique Wooden Boats, Sailing, Private Pilot activities, Hunting, and Camping. Joseph was a respected Founding Member, Director and President of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and a Benefactor Member of the Bergen Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

A "Celebration of Life" memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th, from 11am to 3pm at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Audubon Society at www.audubon.org.
