With profound sorrow and abiding faith, we announce the passing of Joseph Kassar, who entered into eternal rest on March 17, 2026, at the age of 88.
Joseph was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and patriarch whose life was defined by faith, love, strength, and devotion to his family. He was the cherished husband of Josephine “Pepi” Kassar, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage, building a life rooted in loyalty, sacrifice, laughter, perseverance, and enduring love. Together, they created a family that stood as the greatest expression of his character and the truest measure of his life.
He was the devoted father of Angele Kassar, Helen Kassar, Camille “Kim” Kassar, Felice “Phil” Kassar, and Christine Anne “Chrissy” Kassar. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Angele, whose memory remained forever close to his heart. He was also the proud and loving grandfather of seven grandchildren (Emily, Nicholas, Kelley, Kenney, John, Joseph and Tia), each of whom brought him enormous joy and pride. To them, and to all who knew him well, Joseph was a steady presence, a source of wisdom and a man whose quiet strength spoke louder than words ever could.
Joseph was a man of deep faith and quiet dignity. He lived not for attention or recognition, but for the people he loved and the values he believed in. He understood responsibility, sacrifice, and perseverance, and he carried himself with humility and grace. His family knew him as their protector, their example, and their hero. He was the kind of man whose presence made others feel steadier, safer, and stronger. His love was constant, his guidance was trusted, and his example will remain woven into the lives of all who were blessed to call him husband, father, grandfather, family, and friend.
Even in his final days, Joseph was surrounded by love. He celebrated his 88th birthday on Saturday March 14, just days before his passing, and though those days were marked by struggle following a massive stroke, they were also marked by the love, prayers, and devotion of the family who never left his side. While their hearts are broken by this loss, they take comfort in their faith and in the belief that the Lord has welcomed him home, reunited him in eternal peace, and lifted him into the fullness of His mercy and love.
Joseph leaves behind a legacy far greater than words can fully capture. He leaves a family bound together by the lessons he taught, the values he lived, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will endure in every story told about him, every family gathering shaped by his example, and every act of love and strength inspired by the life he lived. Though he will be deeply missed every day, he will remain forever present in the hearts of those who loved him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
