Josephine (De Michele) Klomburg

Josephine Klomburg, 85, of Allendale, NJ, passed away on May 14, 2023. Josephine was raised in Garfield and later moved to Allendale where she raised her family. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna De Michele. She was a longtime parishioner of Guardian Angel RC Church in Allendale. Josephine worked at Northern Highlands Regional High School and the Upper Saddle River school system.

Josephine loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed making memories during family vacations, family gatherings and supporting her grandchildren at school and sporting events. Josephine was a member of the Allendale Friends of the Library and the Allendale XYZ Club. She also volunteered at The Depot in Midland Park. Josephine enjoyed antiquing, going on small trips with her friends, listening to Frank Sinatra and spending time at the shore with her family. Josephine loved to cook and entertain. She always had enough food to serve a small army. Josephine had a beautiful smile and a generous heart.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Albert Klomburg and survived by her children Joanne Ricke of Allendale, Jayne Keefe of Allendale and Alison Missel of Wyckoff. Affectionately known as MeMa and Grandma to 6 grandchildren Shelby, Krista, Steven, Kevin, Shaun and Megan.  Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by her family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Guardian Angel R.C. Church in Allendale, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
