Josephine S. Mattiaccio (nee DiPietro) of Mahwah, formerly of West New York, NJ in her 90th year, peacefully passed on to our Lord on December 29, 2021. Beloved daughter of Antonino and Josephine, loving sister of Antoinette, Mildred, Anthony and Anna. Born February 12 Josephine, or affectionately Jo, graduated from Holy Family Academy in Union City, NJ and initially worked as the assistant to Joseph Picone of Evan-Picone Fashions. Soon after, she left her professional career when she met the love of her life Ralph (pre-deceased) in 1948. Josephine was a devoted wife for 67 years and was the ever-loving inspirational Catholic mother to her seven children.

Eventually, she resumed her professional career as president of Immaculate Lace and Embroidery Industries working side by side with her husband.  In addition to her profession, in her personal life, Josephine was a long-standing benefactor of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and member of the Women’s Club of Ridgewood and was an ardent traveler.

Throughout her life Josephine had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.  She was a life-long member of the Holy Rosary Society and choirs at our Blessed Lady’s churches of Our Lady of Libera (West New York), and later Immaculate Conception and Immaculate Heart of Mary of Mahwah.

Throughout her life Josephine was an inspirational shining beacon of grace, beauty and love living the role model to both family and friends as a devoted Catholic wife, mother, and friend, living and working her life in the image and mirror of the Blessed Mother.
