Josephine Terranova

Our beloved Josephine Terranova was one of a kind. She lived her 76 years entirely on her own terms. She was stylish, brilliant and always had the final word. You always knew exactly where you stood with her and she would tell you in no uncertain terms; she could be cutting but never unkind.

Beloved wife of 43 years to Edward Jacobs, a devoted parent who was always there for her sons, Nicholas and Anthony Jacobs. A fun-loving Nana to all of her grandchildren; a mother-in-law who was understanding and supportive.  Loving sister to Charles, Mary, Tony, Roseanne and Joseph, devoted aunt to her Rosel and Rich Campos, as well as her extensive family of nieces, nephews and cousins; who loved her for her irreverence. In addition she was a loving sister in law to MaryAnn Fiore-Terranova; and Matt and Maryann Siegel.

While her higher education started later in her life, she achieved a great deal including a Master’s in Education as well as becoming a Board Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She found her calling in working with patients and helped many achieve freedom from their addictions.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4 PM-8 PM with a short service beginning at 7:30 PM.
