Karen (Schecker) Zawadski

Karen Zawadski Schecker, 77, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022, in Oakland, NJ. Karen was born on November 17th, 1944, in Staten Island, NY to Isabel Gloria Schecker and William Otto Schecker. Karen grew up in Englewood, NJ and graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in 1962. She had a beautiful soul and was a fun-loving mother and sister, but unfortunately illness took Karen by surprise and affected her well-being until her death. In her early years, Karen worked as a bookkeeper for the Temple Emanuel in Englewood NJ. Later she worked doing payroll at Saddle Brook Hospital.Karen was predeceased by her late mother Isabel Schecker, and brothers Paul and Billy.

Karen is survived by son Kevin Zawadski, sister Linda Kramer and brother-in-law Paul Kramer, nieces Laura Kramer, Arlene Ace, Terry DeLorenzo, nephews Paul Kramer Jr., and Daniel Kramer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 15, 2022, from 1-3 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey NJ.
