Katherine Ann Karpovich

Katherine A. Karpovich, 90, of Ramsey, NJ passed away during the early morning hours of September 18, 2021 with the love and support of her family. Born and raised in New York City to Theodore and Ann Sica. She was predeceased by her husband John A. (Johnny Karp) of 57 years. They moved to Ramsey over 60 years ago where together they proudly raised 8 children. A week prior to her death, her only sibling, Philip Sica passed away. Kay is survived by her beloved 8 children, Ted of Ramsey, Glen and his wife Elaine of Ramsey, Yvonne and her husband Joe Broggi of Oakland, Jeffrey and his wife Lisa of NC, Gary and his wife Kim of NC, Natalie and her husband Arne Johnsen of Oakland, John and his wife Maryanne of SC and Darlene and her husband Brian Huth of FL. She cherished her time with her 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kay had volunteered at the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat in Wyckoff, NJ and was a charter member of the Ramsey Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary. Kay is someone who never spoke an unkind word to or about anyone and will be profoundly missed by all. You are invited to join the family this Friday (September 24, 2021) at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home located at 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ between 4 – 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at the St. Luke’s RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ with interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
