Laura Suarez

On Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, Laura Suarez, 69, of Hillsdale, NJ sadly passed away from complications related to ovarian cancer. 

Laura was a beautiful, charismatic and highly skilled actress. She studied with the world's most famous acting coach, Lee Strasberg, in New York City and Los Angeles. She later went on to a diverse acting career spanning across theater, film, and television. In her youth Laura excelled in writing, ballet, and photography. Among Laura's proudest accomplishments was raising her daughter, Chelsea, 35. 

Laura had a keen eye for design, perhaps passed down from her family's handbag business, and spent her days creating ornate jewelry and home decor items. 

Whenever she was faced with a challenge or setback in life, Laura would say “onward and upward!” to reflect a positive attitude towards moving forward rather than being held back. We will greatly miss Laura’s bright outlook on life and the creative perspective she brought to everything that she did. 

Laura is preceded in death by her parents Gloria and Joseph as well as her brother Rick. She is survived by her sister Ramona, her brother Matthew, and her daughter Chelsea. 

The family will be celebrating Laura’s life privately.
