Lynne R. McLaughlin

Lynne Rita McLaughlin was born to Rita and Herbert Formont in New York City, New York on October 15, 1948. She attended St. Simon Stock High School in the Bronx and later graduated from Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing. Lynne was especially proud of her nursing degree and of her career providing healthcare services to others.

Lynne is survived by her three children, Diane (Thomas) Brady of Wilmington, North Carolina, Dennis of Albany, New York, and Brian (Bobbi) of Bend, Oregon. Lynne lived for news about and visits from her grandchildren Erin, Caroline, Eileen, Paul, McKenna, Brianna, and Teagan; she loved them unconditionally. Lynne is also survived by her devoted brother James (Susan) Formont and her beloved nieces and nephews, goddaughter Suzanne, Elizabeth (Yahya) Khan Kan, Jimmy (Stacey), and Andrew (Joanna).

Lynne raised her children in Pearl River, New York and continued to reside in Rockland County before settling in New Jersey for the past 15 years, most recently in the Ridge Oak Senior Housing community of Basking Ridge. There, she enjoyed her favorite TV shows and movies, a few troublesome housepets, and kept tabs on the royal family. Lynne loved a good laugh and had a teasing nature, unintentionally authored hilarious text messages, and cherished time with her family. Challenged by debilitating health issues in recent years, Lynne often relied on loving care from her treasured friend Jennifer Troulis of Dunellen, New Jersey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Lynne on Monday, June 16 at 11:15 a.m. at Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.
