Margaret A. Hanke

Margaret A. Hanke, 76, on October 1, 2023 of Allendale. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Hanke. Loving mother of Nicholas (Amy), Jessica and Victoria. Cherished grandmother of Alexandra, Matthew, Lily and Orla. Margaret was proud of her 3 children. She taught religious education at Guardian Angel for over 20 years and volunteered for Renew and Cornerstone. She was a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout assistant, PTO volunteer and picture lady. Margaret was a member of the Allendale Garden Club and XYZ Club. She was an avid gardener and loved to read, especially murder mysteries.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 - 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10 AM at Guardian Angel R.C. Church in Allendale. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Margaret to the Allendale Ambulance Corps or the Allendale Fire Department.
