Marie C. (Beisel) Keys

Marie C. Keys (Beisel), 94, a longtime Ramsey, NJ resident, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2026, after a life dedicated to her family and community.  She was a woman of steady strength, quiet grace and deep devotion to the people around her.  She lived her life with kindness, humility, and a genuine concern for others.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Artie for 69 years and the loving mother of their six surviving children Anne (Peter), Arthur, William (Renee), Joseph (Susan), Richard (Theresa) and Patrick (Rachell).  She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren whom she immensely adored and one great granddaughter and her loving brother, Charlie and sister-in-law Helen Beisel as well as many cousins who were very dear to her.

Marie devoted herself first and foremost to her family, which was the center of her world. She always enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events and hearing about their activities. She truly understood the importance of showing up for the people she loved, and did so faithfully and without hesitation

Once her children were raised, Marie worked as an aide for Hubbard and Dator schools in Ramsey where she brought the same nurturing spirit, kindness and caring to the children and her coworkers.

Marie was a lifelong parishioner at St. Paul’s Church and member of the Ramsey Fire Department auxiliary.

Marie will be remembered for her loving nature, her selfless spirit, and the many ways she enriched the lives of others. Her memory will remain forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.  Though she is no longer physically present, the love she gave and the warmth she brought into the world will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. 

Visitation will be held at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey, NJ with burial following at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, NJ.
