Marion Grace Sherron of Mahwah, formerly of Princeton Junction, NJ, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of 65. Marion was born in Hoboken, NJ on December 7, 1957, to the late Thomas and Marion (neé Olsen) Hurst.
Marion is survived by her loving sons Derek and Scott, who she was so passionately proud of and were the lights of her life. She will be deeply missed by her loving sisters Laura and her husband Kevin Carrick, Tami and her husband Thomas Larsen, and her sister in-law Nancy and her husband Richard Rogal; nieces and nephews Stephen Rogal, Mark Rogal, Amie Dickson and her husband Sean, Thomas Larsen and his wife Katrina, Melissa DelaTorre and husband Michael, Ian Carrick, Tabitha Ghahari and her husband Aria, and Jordan Carrick; along with many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and cherished friendships. She was proceeded in death by her husband Neil Sherron, whom she was blessed to share 37 years of marriage with, and her parents Thomas and Marion Hurst.
Strong and brave in the face of any challenge she was faced with, Marion’s spirit, soul and positivity were infectious to anybody who’s path she crossed. Marion enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her loved ones and was a matriarchal figure to many. She treated everyone she loved like they were family. There was never a birthday, holiday, or other occasion that she did not make special for everyone around her. And she was the life of the party, with her signature Hurst cackle. She loved taking vacations with her family, cruising around the Caribbean, trips to the Jersey Shore, and her favorite Hallmark movies. She never missed a game, concert, play, graduation, wedding, or any life milestone of her children, extended family and loves ones. She recently retired after having worked for over 20 years in the Board of Education in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District as a secretary.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 4 PM - 8 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446.
