Martin Keating Jr. Obituary

Martin J. Keating Jr. (“Marty”), 86, was born on April 21,1938 and passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was the oldest of 8 children born to Martin and Mary Keating. He was preceded in death by his loving and beautiful wife Doreen. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for 29 years and was honorably discharged as Master Sergeant. He was a long-time year member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and served in many roles, including Exalted Ruler in 2000 – 2001. He is survived his four children and their spouses: Colleen and her husband Troy (De Vries), Elizabeth (Newton), Catherine and her husband Ron (Gaglione), Michael and his wife Jennifer (Keating). Also survived by ten loving grandchildren: Christopher, Justin, Jason, Scott, Eric, Samantha, Kelsey, Luke, Alex and Kasey who have wonderful memories of Easter egg hunts and special times with their Pop Pop. And the blessing of two great grandchildren Penelope and Leonardo (one more on the way!), He will be remembered for his love of his family, always optimistic attitude, deep faith, and service as an Elk. He will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be laid to rest on Friday, July 12, 2024 in a small ceremony at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Park Ridge Elks Lodge.
