MaryAlice (Nowak) Gallagher

MaryAlice Gallagher, of Mahwah, formerly of Closter, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2021. She was 88 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Gallagher for 54 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to her 5 children William Jr. (Joyce), Alice (Wayne Fjotland), Thomas, John (Michelle) and Susan (Steven Herrmans). Loving and proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was born in the Bronx, NY to John and Anne Nowak. Loving sister to Anne Marie Nowak and predeceased by her brother John and sister Diane. She worked at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, NJ for 22 years. The family will hold her memory dear to their hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 - 8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
