Mary Ann Schwarz

Mary Ann Schwarz, 82, of Ramsey peacefully departed this Earth on the evening of October 23rd, 2023. She was a beloved homemaker and wife, mother, Mimi, sister and receptionist for Schwarz Roofing in Hoboken, New Jersey. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 59 years, Bernard; children, Bernard Jr. and wife Andrea, Elizabeth Ridgeway and husband Greg, Mary Pacenka and husband Jon; grandchildren, Abigail Ridgeway, Matthew Schwarz, and Logan Pacenka; siblings, Bill Deno, Evelyn Inserra, and Dorothy Koenig. Mary Ann was reunited with her brother, the late John Deno, upon passing. An avid card, puzzle and board game player, Mary Ann had a quick mind and quick wit often bestowing humor and a winning hand upon her companions. A friend of the birds, Mary Ann spent her mornings calling them to breakfast with her iconic three-tone whistle. Her legacy will live on through her lineage, the magic of play, and the songs of the birds.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10 AM - 12:30 PM with a service being conducted at 12 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
