Maryann (Murray) King

Maryann (Murray) King, 77, of Powhatan, VA passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Frederick King. Maryann was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Carmella (Rizzo) and James Murray. She attended St. Catherine McAuley HS in Brooklyn. She met her husband Fred whom she was married to for 56 years. They moved to Ringwood, NJ where they raised their 2 children until retiring and traveling cross country for a few months before finally finding their home in Powhatan, VA. She is preceded in death by her son, Frederick, Jr. and her sister, Patricia Zilinske. In addition to her husband, Fred, Maryann is survived by her 2 children, Ryan and his wife Marnie of Ramsey, NJ; and Justine and her husband Mike of Ramsey, NJ; her brother, James Murray of Brooklyn, NY and her 6 grandchildren - Brady, Tristan & Garrett King and Julia, Mikey, & Olivia Nero, whom she absolutely adored and loved spending time with. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who was the heart of the family and will be so dearly missed.

Visitation will be Monday, August 11th at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey, NJ from 4-8 PM and a burial ceremony Tuesday, August 12th at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
