Matthew Alexander Kenyon

Matthew A. Kenyon, beloved son of James and Debbie Kenyon, was born in Ridgewood, N.J. on August 23, 2000. He was called home to be with the Lord, passing away peacefully with family members and friends by his side on February 18, 2025, in Paramus, N.J.

Matthew was a lifetime resident of Ramsey. As a child with disabilities, he attended schools outside of the city, such as The Valley Program in Norwood and the Gramon Family of Schools in Fairfield. He had most recently been attending New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T), also in Fairfield. NB4T is a day program for adults with disabilities that Matthew loved being a part of. Despite his challenges, Matthew had the ability to touch the hearts of his caretakers and establish long term relationships with them.

Matthew loved being around people. He was a foodie who loved having guests at his home or taking trips to the mall, where he could grab a bite at Chilis, shop, or see a movie. Matthew loved going for walks. It didn’t matter if it was a neighborhood walk, a walk through the park, or a visit to the Jersey shore to walk the boardwalk or the beach. Matthew was a gentle, joyful young man who often charmed those he met with his impish behavior, his enthusiasm, his crooked “pirate smile” and his fervent need to know what, or who, tomorrow would bring.

Matthew essentially grew up at Grace Baptist Church in Ramsey. All services will be held there this Saturday, 2/22/25. The church is located at 191 North Central Avenue, Ramsey, NJ 07446. The Viewing will be held from 9AM-11AM, the funeral Service at 11AM, and a Celebration of his Life from 1-4PM. All Glory to God!
