Meredith Ann (Bottum) Dykstra

Meredith Ann Dykstra (nee Bottum), 86, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at her home in Ramsey, NJ. Beloved wife of Robert Dykstra for 62 years. Loving mother of Suzanne Schnaars, Wendy Chennault, and Timothy Dykstra. Cherished grandmother of Austin, Misty, Calla, Aubree, Madison, Jackson, and Lillian. Dear sister of the late Richard and Paula Bottum. 

In her lifetime, Meredith was an avid quilter, knitter, gardener, and crossword puzzle extraordinaire. She loved to spend time with her family, friends, and dog Lucie. She was a long-standing member and supporter of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Ramsey, NJ. Meredith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Muhlenberg College and worked as an elementary school teacher in Upper Saddle River, NJ for many years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10 AM at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Ramsey, NJ. Interment will follow at Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Ramsey, NJ.
