Nancy Beth Haines (nee Abdelhak) of Upper Saddle River passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, with her beloved husband of 43 years, William Haines, by her side. She was born on February 3, 1958 and is survived by her husband and three sisters Catherine (David) Muniz, Carol (David) Hart, and Judy (Alan) Wagner.
Nancy was a devoted mother to Christopher (Emily) Haines, Carolyn (Christopher) Klaube, and Leah (Timothy) Corcoran. She was a proud grandmother, affectionately known as “Grammy” to Bryce, Nolan, and Westley Klaube and Isla Corcoran. The grandchildren loved to spend a few weeks of their summer at "Camp Grammy and PopPop" swimming, cooking and watching shows with Grammy.
Nancy was passionate about maternal healthcare and worked as both a doula and a midwife. She cared deeply about supporting breastfeeding mothers and volunteered as a local La Leche League leader.
Nancy also loved homecooked meals, creating elaborate menus for family gatherings. Planning, preparing and sharing meals was one of the many ways Nancy expressed her love. She meticulously made a family cookbook that is treasured across multiple generations.
Nancy’s faith became an anchoring part of her later life. She became a parishioner at the Church of the Presentation, converting to Catholicism in 2006. She was a member of various ministries, including the choir. Nancy was known for her generosity and kindness towards others.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:15am at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. A repast at the church will follow.
