Norman Andersen

Norman Andersen, 61, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023, a life-long resident of Ramsey, NJ.  Loving son of Elaine Andersen, dear brother of Warren and his wife Ann, adored uncle of Brita Andersen. 

Norm was well-known in town, enjoyed a long career as an Equipment Operator with the Ramsey Road Department (recently retired), and served the community as an Exempt Life Member of the Ramsey Fire Department for 43 years.  As a true local, he had a wealth of stories, memories and interesting knowledge of people and places from years back that he readily shared.  He also enjoyed travels in New York State, camping with friends, as well as his visits to Arizona and Florida.  Norm’s many friends and acquaintances will miss such a unique colorful figure, but surely the stories will live on for years.

Visitation will be held at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 5-8 PM.  A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home the next morning, December 28, 2023 at 11 AM, with burial following at Union Cemetery, 316 Darlington Avenue.
