It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful and much loved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Patricia Mary Schwally. It is bittersweet to lose someone you love so dearly but incredibly sweet knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband Freddie and son John.
Patricia Mary Schwally, 86, died peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, NY where she has resided for the past several years. Patricia was born on July 23, 1936 in Queens, NY to John Reilly and Grace (Connors) Reilly. Several years after graduating from high school Patricia met and married the love of her life Frederick Schwally. The young couple settled in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY where they raised their family, They lived there for more than 30 years.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia (Jose) Caseres, of Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Kathleen (Harry) Murphy, of White Plains, NY. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol Schwally, of Wantagh, NY, and loving sister Grace Hughes of Patchogue, NY. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Frederick in 2015, and son John in 2O17.
Patricia is also survived by her Grandchildren, Steven (Katie) Caseres, Kathryn (Matthew) Semmelrock, Harry (Alyssa) Murphy, Matthew (Laura) Murphy, Brian and John Schwally and Great-Grandchildren, Jackson Joseph and Harper Grace Caseres, Connor Roy Semmelrock and Richard Harry Murphy. She was a beloved Aunt to her dear nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY and was active with the Suffern Seniors and other senior groups in the area. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Patricia took much pride in her family and home.
