Paul W. Napolitano
December 5, 1948 – August 6, 2025
Paul W. Napolitano, 76, of Upper Saddle River, NJ, formerly of Union City, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2025.
Born on December 5, 1948, Paul was the beloved husband of Linda Napolitano; devoted father to Amy Volk and her husband, Kenny; cherished grandfather to Aidan Volk; and loving brother to Lois Napolitano Cardone. He is also survived by his nephews, Nicolas Napolitano and his wife Miranda, and Anthony Napolitano. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Winifred Napolitano, and his brother, Neil Napolitano.
Paul proudly served in the United States Army, earning a National Defense Service Medal. A hard worker from the start, he was owner of Auto Craft Body Shop, several Exxon service stations, and later serving as President of American International Warehouse.
Deeply committed to his community, Paul dedicated decades of service to organizations such as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and Toys for Tots. He was recognized with a Presidential Commendation, by President Clinton for his fundraising efforts to aid the children of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Paul was a member for over 30 years of the oldest international gastronomic society, Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs – Bailliage de New Jersey – where he held the ranks of Vice Conseiller Gastronomique and Grand Commandore. A true wine connoisseur, he was also a skilled winemaker, producing reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, aged Ports, and other fine varietals.
His passions extended to the skies and seas as a licensed pilot, naval navigator, avid golfer, and scuba diver. He approached every endeavor with precision, enthusiasm, and excellence.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM with a memorial service being conducted at 12:30 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446.
