Paul J. Verrengia, 78, of Ramsey, formerly of Mahwah, passed away on March 17th. Born in Waterville, Maine, Paul grew up in Glen Rock. He graduated from Glen Rock High School and then graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1969. He worked in the pipe support industry for Bergen Iron, Bergen-Patterson and Carpenter and Patterson. Paul is survived by his mother, Muriel Verrengia of Ridgewood and was predeceased by his father, Remo. Paul was a loving father to his daughter, Stacey Frazier, and her husband, Chris, of Ramsey and son, Raymond Verrengia, and his fiancé Jennifer Gigliotti of Asbury, NJ. Paul’s greatest joy in life was being a grandfather and he was known as “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren, Aidan and Olivia Frazier, and Mia and Dean Verrengia. Paul is also survived by his sisters, Mev Parsons and Rae Kirkpatrick of Denver, Colorado. Paul was an avid sports fan and loved the Mets and Jets. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was their biggest fan. Paul also loved classic cars, doing jigsaw puzzles and all things dogs. Over the course of his life, he was a dog dad to four labrador retrievers. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 8 from 2-4 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ.
