Peter P. Pungitore

Peter P. Pungitore, 92, on December 7, 2024 of Mahwah, NJ. Beloved father of Brian and wife Gina, Andrea and husband Carlos and John. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Jessica, Lauren, Daniel and Julia. Loving son of the late John and Rocca Maria Pungitore. Dear brother of the late Jennie, Thomas, Rosario, Frank, Grace and Vincent.  Peter was very intelligent and graduated college at the age of 20 as a physicist. He worked for many companies including Cornell Medical Center and Timex. His love of learning continued his entire life. 

He was also very talented musically, playing numerous instruments from a young boy, including the guitar and trumpet. He wrote and produced music as this was his passion. He also loved cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. In the last few years designing and sending cards to those he cared about gave him a tremendous sense of purpose. 

When his children were young he coached soccer, baseball and softball for many years and later enjoyed attending sporting events and concerts for his grandchildren. His greatest joy was being with them and watching them grow. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM with a service being conducted at 12 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey. Interment will be held privately.
