Robert D. D'Andrea

Robert D. D'Andrea of Ramsey, NJ. Born June 6, 1937 in Providence, Rhode lsland. Passed away at home September 5, 2025. Bob enlisted in the Army one month prior to his 16th birthday.

He sustained combat injuries while serving his country during the Korean War. Sharing that his most exotic travels were recovering from his injuries in Hokkaido, Japan. At the same time obtaining his drivers license & earning his GED.
Upon return state side his family moved to Rhode lsland where he worked as a furniture mover while attending Bryant College on the G.I. Bill, earning his degree in accounting.
After graduating he was hired by the Fairview, New Jersey Police Department, attending the Sea Girt Training Center. Bob worked in Fairview for a few years then transferred to the Ramsey Police Department where he met his wife of 45 years responding to a motor vehicle accident.

Bob and Edie enjoyed their home in Middlebury, Vermont exploring nearby historic towns and villages.

He was a member of Ramsey First Presbyterian Church where he enioyed serving as an Usher, transportation for members in need and Communion Setup.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Edith Kielch DAndrea and sister Noreen DAndrea. He is survived by cousins; Cathie Davis, Pete & Maureen Zapp, Dan & Kathleen Fielding, Bob Tafoya
& Dana Syinstkos. Friends; Marilyn Bendoritis, Frank & Karen Hunter, Margie Breitenbach, Carole Wolter, Jack & Maureen Greenshields, Linda McDonald and many others.

He has served as Past President of Ramsey PBA, Past Master of Phoenix Masonic Lodge & 18 years as Secretary, Past Grand Chaplin, Past Patron of Jephtha Ch Order of the Eastern Star, Past Patron of Tilden Ch Order of the Eastern Star.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, 15 Shuart Lane, Ramsey, NJ. Interment will follow at Redeemer Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
