Robert E. Feldman

Robert E. Feldman, 60, of Upper Saddle River, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 1, 2021. “Rob” was born in Miami, FL to the late Gene Feldman and Sharon Feldman. Rob grew up in Hamden, CT, where he graduated from Hamden High School in 1979, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from The Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Rob moved to New Jersey in 1984, where he began his four-decade long career as a leader in the insurance industry.  Rob was passionate about youth sports and spent many years on the sidelines as a coach for the Americans Soccer Club. Rob served as the president of the Board of Education for the Upper Saddle River School District from 1994 to 2003, where he was instrumental in the building of the Travers Gym at Bogert Elementary School to honor the life of his dear friend.  Rob was a wonderful friend and a mentor to many. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends while sharing stories over a great “7 course” meal. Rob’s greatest joy was his children and was extremely proud of their accomplishments.  Rob is survived by his three children Dr. Chelsea Feldman, Andrew Feldman, Jacqueline Feldman and his future son-in-law Joseph Asaro; his mother Sharon; his brother Harvey and sister-in-law Karen; the mother of his children Maura Higgins; his cherished friend Judith Verillo; and his beloved sister-in-law Eileen Babikian and brother-in-law Jeff Babikian; along with his eleven nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Rob’s amazing life will be held at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 3-8 PM with a service at 7 PM.
